about juicebox software, inc.
Juicebox Software, Inc. was founded in April 2009 by Jason Oliver & his wife, parents with a passion for thoughtful design, technology, children and their iPhones!
The couple took their preschool-aged daughter on a trip to New York last year. Halfway into the flight her attention strayed from the carefully selected, all-natural, non-noise making toys his wife had painstakingly picked out for her. Blocks, books, stuffed animals, nothing was keeping the increasingly agitated five-year-old entertained or quiet. Seat kicking and crying ensued. Desperate to calm her and not incur the ire of every passenger on the fully booked flight, Jason gave her an iPhone. Then something happened...
Silence.
Their daughter, a pint-sized tornado of frustration, subsided into calm. She was mesmerized, happy to click through a photo album of family pictures for the rest of the flight. While his wife was vehemently opposed to the idea of giving a young child something like an iPhone to play with, there was no denying the potential educational possibilities of this amazing little device. After landing Jason searched for educational games for preschool-aged children. The few options he found were poorly designed.
Fast forward one year. Juicebox Software, Inc. was founded to create non-branded, educational software for toddlers and preschool-aged children specifically for Apple's iTouch, iPhone and iPad.
